Dr. Nelson, author of “Cold War Ecology” (Yale University Press, 2006) and former lecturer at Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, is writing a book on the geography of South and Central Asian natural resources and security policy. He currently serves as the secretary and governor of the Smith Richardson Foundation, Inc. – a leading private foundation that specializes in international security studies and foreign policy.
